Denia is a lovely city which we have visited often, and we’ve stayed the night a few times too, despite it being just 20 minutes drive from our home!<\/p>\n

The hotel has a lovely outside courtyard and a popular restaurant.<\/p>\n Our room was in the annexe but very close to the main hotel, and our room was modern and stylish with natural stone walls, comfortable beds and large walk-in shower. We thought everything was excellent and will definitely return.\u00a0 It’s open every day, but only for dinner on Sunday.<\/p>\n For dinner we had an excellent meal at La Cova Talla<\/strong> on Calle Loreto 10.\u00a0 We shared a delicious warm duck salad with mango and tacos with chimichurri.\u00a0 The apple tart with cinnamon was also delicious.\u00a0 They also do a good value menu del dia and are open daily.\u00a0 The place was busy (we had to sit inside as it was full outside) but there was only one waiter doing everything.\u00a0 Despite being rushed off his feet, he did a great job and gave good service with a smile throughout.<\/p>\n A regular favourite for lunch in Denia is Saona<\/strong> on Pla\u00e7a les Drassanes 2.\u00a0 It’s a chain with several branches throughout Spain (also one in Javea) and they serve delicious food, a bit different from the usual Spanish fare.\u00a0 Worth a mention is the delicious starter ofTempura vegetables with Kimchi mayonnaise.\u00a0\u00a0 Main course portions aren’t huge, but with three courses, including a good dessert selection, you won’t go hungry!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row text_font=”Lato||||||||” text_font_size=”17px” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n Els Magazinos<\/a> is a large food court close to the port just off Carrer Pont 19.\u00a0 You can choose food from one stall, drinks from another or visit one of the indoor restaurants if you prefer.\u00a0 When we went there we just wanted a glass of wine and a snack so we chose La Pause Francaise and got delicious super-fresh bruschetta.\u00a0 We’ve passed through a couple of times at lunchtime and it has been very quiet, but we believe it is busier at night.<\/p>\n Lungo Mare<\/a> on Marques de Campo is a chain with branches throughout Spain.\u00a0 We have had a very nice meal there – a tasty salad to start followed by a very light, delicious pizza called Ombra della sera with pesto, crispy bacon, pepperoni, caramelised onion, taleggio cheese and red pepper.\u00a0 The nicest pizza we’ve had in a long time.\u00a0 The house red wine was very nice too!<\/p>\n We have visited Txoko Bar<\/strong> on Calle Loreto many times.\u00a0 It’s a friendly bar, with well priced drinks.\u00a0 They used to give you free tapas with every drink, but as of 2023 they appear to have stopped that.\u00a0 It’s still hotels, Hostal Loreto<\/strong> on Calle Loreto itself and Hotel Chamarel<\/strong>, just one road down on Carrer dels Cavallers, 13<\/span>.\u00a0 Both are nice small budget hotels in good central
